I can do better…. honest

After buying my Quarrellers/Thunderers and Runesmith I got around to putting 10 Thunderers together (my first full unit) and 6 Quarrellers (half of another unit), none of which has been painted. I did mange to get my Runesmith put together… well, stuck to the base… but I did manage to get it painted. After I got this far in August I got sidetracked and didn’t manage to get anything else done, you know how summer holidays are. I then found out that my girlfriend had bought me a load of stuff for my dwarfs so I wasn’t able to buy any more models until after my birthday, which is a shame as my birthday isn’t until October. So as from next month and up until christmas I am going to be busy building up and painting my army so hopefully I will have an army which I can play games with and I wont have to write blog entries which are full of excuses.

One day… Over the rainbow… Elves will be painted… La la la…

Hmmm. As I write this, Kahuna is taking test swing at my head with a lead pipe, better have something good up my sleeve then… Erm. This month I ‘ave been mostly dusting off Elves… Spearmen and archers were butchered to sit in chariots and more Spearmen and archers have been prepared for painting… Mass re-basing is also planned… Frankly cause the original basing is crap…

So, what have I achieved with all this “revisitation” this month? Well… I’ve painted some armour on some barded elven steeds. Oh yes. I’m blazing a trail ahead!

So, I have to finish those Dragon Princes and attack 20 more Spearmen… That way I will actually be able to show my face again in public…

Or I could get a dragon. Or two.

Hmm.

finally…a blog entry

So its been a while since I graced this blog with an entry hehe and although I havent been logging them I have still been painting up some models…and yes for my empire army and not the Slaanesh stuff I was doing.

So what have I done…well ive painted up a a lord character on griffon which I know in gaming terms will be pretty bad still looks good on the table. This more or less absorbed all my 25 budget for the month. However I think im a couple of months behind on my entries so I also painted up 6 flagellants and saved a little bit of money for next month.

The Black Keep Marches

Eventually, From the depths of my Paint Box, My Undead Host marches out to face my enemies and friends alike.

Lets begin with my Blood Dragon Vampire “General”, BD2. The other Blood Dragon Hero, BD3.

Unfortunately I have to have the stupid Necromancers, Mounted and on foot

Then come the Black Knights, BK2, and the second unit BK3 and BK4, The third unit is under construction, but will be riding from the Keep soon enough.

I also painted a Spirit Host for the army BOO!

I’ve also got 25 Skellies knocking around somewhere.

That all I’ve painted so far, with most of the other parts of my army assembled and undercoated.

These consist of 40 graveguard, a Black Coach, a Banshee, a Blood Dragon on foot, a Wight Lord on foot, a mounted Wight Lord, and a mounted Wraith.

Then I’ll be looking to replace the Dire wolves i already have with some tasty chaos hound models I saw on some sight.

I know we’re suposed to be painting according to points per month and all that, but i’m past that stage now. Kahuna should be happy now I’ve eventually posted the pics, even with me using my phone cam.

Maybe one day he’ll eventually pass his Bike test and get a Bike.

Its Alive, Alive!!!

Well, after months of waiting, i’m back online… so without being online, and playing xbox and things I’ve nearly finished my army. Or would have, If I hadnt been busy with American Football and Riding my Motorbikes.. and watching tv… drinking a few beers….well you get the general idea…. however i’ll try and put a few pics on to let everyone see what i’ve done…

Just in time

Wohoo ive manage to catch up,I have completed July’s and Augusts painting targets.

A Chaos warrior chariot, a Tzeentch champion on chariot and a unit of trolls.

This little lot almost puts me into the 1500 pts bracket,

so to push me over the edge, Septembers figures will consist of a unit of Dragon Ogres.    This will add to the fear factor of the army,

as they have a deserved nasty reputation with the 4 strength 7 attacks each.

I dont think any opponement could afford to ignore them, and i hope to use this to my advantage.

I now have an idea on where my army is going and as winter draws near,

(where was the summer?) and i paint more figures im hoping to get some practise games in.

Good painting everyone, keep up the great work, except Stu and Conrad, who need to dig out their paintbrushes…….
