Hey, well here are some pics of my models. This month I painted up a unit of outriders (£12) and a Hero on Pegasus (£12). I converted the Pegasus rider to have a sword and a pistol. Not sure if it’s gonna make the final army list but I already had the model and had a urge to paint it up so I did. Here are some other pics of other months models to (since I’ve found my digital camera again). Though I think my cameras flash emphasisesthe highlights and metallics harshly
Ok, April has ended and what do I have to show for myself? War machines! Feast your eyes upon a Death Rocket and not one but two Hobgoblin Bolt Throwers… That should bring some much need firepower to my little evil stunted ones… And something for the Hobgoblins Archers to hang around by and look slightly useful! One day to be joined by the dreaded Earthshaker (well dreaded by me, artillery dice and I just don’t mix well).
So what now? Well, looking at the costs from the last couple of months, I have 15 Blunderbusses ready to be painted… I know, 15 miniatures in one month? Can I even do that? Won’t my thumbs fall off and my hands spontaneously combust? Well, we’ll just have to see… 
Another month another painting target completed and here is the pics of my Marauder Horsemen to prove it. Although my army isnt progressing at the warp speed of Chris’s army, it is coming along nicely and looks sweet, but the Marauder unit ive painted so far looks lonely so for this month im going to paint up another 15 to bring to a huge 30 figures,(lets see chris shoot all of these). This may not add punch to the army but at least it should increase its endurance.
So what do i see myself adding to the army in the near future? Well i don’t think any Chaos army is complete without 1 or 2 chariots, (more like 3-4 if you are chris) so thats a real possibilty with another character, maybe mounted in one… sweet. Some chaos hounds would add to my mobility and are cheap, (pts wise) I also love trolls so i may have to add them too, i know it breaks my all mortal army idea, but they will be fun to use, and they are not demons, so strictly speaking they are mortal……..
That should easily bring me over 1000pts and ill have the oportunity to add a rare choice which im looking forward to. Also after a trip to Salute myself and several others have picked lots of Confrontation figures, so ill try and get a couple of those painted too, (if chris can then so can i) but this all means ill have to drag myself away from the xbox 360 and the really addictive Catan game and the recently downloaded new maps of Gears of War…. The end of the month will show how successful i was resisting, til then happy painting
As April draws to an end it is time to take stock yet again of a month spent painting and modelling. The mont has gone pretty well – but you may guess it, i haven’t got round to painting the Warhawk riders……. again.. Not to be disheartened, I have managed to do a fair batch of points regardless.
The Treeman is now complete, and im pretty pleased with him (here), he will give a great focal point for larger games. i also used this month to complete the various heroes i will need, as you can see a Spell singer and a Noble( here and here), will provide the options for characters from now on. Finally I also managed the box of Glade Riders(here), to give me a fast flanking option for supporting charges.
Inspired by the amount i did achieve I also managed to buy and build a batch of Confrontation figures, an Undead Bloodbowl team and finished painting some Flames of War Bren Carriers – When you are on a roll go with it i say lol
But enough of the diversions, the Warhawks have been started, and will the focus of my painting this month. But what next? I could do with more archers, but in a 1500pts game against Dwarfs i played a couple of weeks ago it was the combact troops that won the day. Indecision reigns and i think ill hold on this month and just finish the Warhawks, saving the £25 for next month and if i have the time i will dig some extra archers out of my bits box.

In all im making huge inroads towards my 2500pt army target, i think a Branchwraith and some Scouts seem likely expansions….
