Warhammer Warbands

I was pointed towards Warhammer Warbands by Chris, and as an incentive to paint while we play I reckon it would work rather well. Take a look and tell me what you all think…

The Wood Elves Steal a March…

With the start of a new year, the clock also starts on our new army project.  Knowing that I have a particularly demanding month ahead at work, I was determined to take advantage of the Christmas break, and use the days off to best effect.  To that end I planned to sneak in a few hours painting before we officially started, certain I would need the assist later in the month.  As it happened I had a good 3-4 days with enough peace and quiet to make a dent in my painting list.

So I sit here on the first of January with my Wardancers, Dryads and a unit of 12 Glade Guard all nicely painted and ready to play. I am now working on the Noble that will complete my first 500 points.  This boost to my schedule will also allow me to crack the Warhawks before the next deadline.

Once they are completed I am going to experiment with my own Treekin – not being a fan of the GW models I have made my own from sticks, twigs, dryads spares and green stuff.  The challenge will be whether I can paint them up into credible figures……
